Green Tea Supplement Capsules

Hey…I don’t like the taste of tea! You’re asking… “What can this website do for ME?”

Wait! Don’t leave yet…

Maybe you don’t like the taste of green tea or you simply don’t have the TIME to brew 4-5 cups of tea a day. Many folks don’t, especially if you travel a lot ( Nothing against antioxidant rich green vegitables but they’re kinda hard to eat while your driving…) .

You don’t want to miss out on the terrific health benefits gained by adding green tea to your diet such as: Cell defense, great antioxidant source, calorie burning effects, cancer defense, heart health benefits etc…

The best alternative to drinking green tea is to take green tea supplement capsules daily.

Green tea supplement capsules give as much or MORE antioxidant than drinking 4-5 cups of green tea daily. Typically, green tea supplement capsules contain between 150 – 300 mg of the polyphenol EGCG (the powerful antioxidant in green tea).

It’s an extremely simple and inexpensive way to get the antioxidant you need to stay healthy. I’ve taken this one for years and really like it – Vita base Green tea extract, it contains 300 mg of standardized green tea extract which is rich in Catechin Polyphenols. 2 capsules a day is like eating a few large servings of steamed green vegetables.

As for side effects, Green tea supplement capsules are pretty safe almost worry free… green tea capsules do contain caffeine and fluoride ( very low amounts ) so if you are sensitive to these take note. – Kerry Mott

Green Tea Extract

Green Tea Extract – comes from a process of brewing and “extracting” the powerful active ingredients from the tea leaves and packaging them in a liquid or capsule form, which can be easily administered with an eye dropper, or swallowed easily with a glass of water.

For those who prefer to not drink tea, this is great news because the amazing long term benefits of consuming green tea are available in this easy to take “liquid” or “capsule” form. Consuming green tea extract may provide these powerful health benefits including:

  • lowering cholesterol
  • weight loss
  • increased immune function
  • healthy cardiovascular system.
  • Green tea leaf is rich in catechin polyphenols including EGCG a powerful antioxidant.
  • support of the body’s natural resistance to cancer of the bladder, breast, colon, esophagus, lung, pancreas, prostate, skin and stomach

A Very Good Green Tea Extract.

If you are traveling, busy, or not able to have the time to relax and enjoy a nice infused cup of green tea you needn’t miss the health benefits.

Each capsule has 300 mg of standardized green tea extract, which is rich in Catechin Polyphenols, the powerful antioxidant ingredient naturally occurring in green tea.

I can honestly say this has made a difference in how I feel over the last few years I’ve been taking it. I’ve tried other extracts but feel this particular extract is the best; very consistent… the company, VitaBase, has excellent quality controls and standards because the effect is always the same.

I feel better, younger, am less tired, and don’t get colds the way I used to. The FDA won’t approve it but who cares! It works and makes a positive difference.. – Kerry Allen

Green Tea Diet Pill

Another alternative to drinking green tea is the taking “Green Tea Diet Pill”. All the powerful benefits are completely available in the pill form!

Typically, a dose is anywhere between 300mg and 400mg. If you are drinking the tea, then three to four cups per day are the standard equivalent.

Green Tea diet pills will stimulate the metabolism and act as a diuretic, which makes the active ingredients popular in other weight loss stimulants.

Green Tea Diet

A “Green Tea Diet” is basically incorporating up to 10 cups of green tea daily in order to fully realize the amazing benefits of this delicious drink. Actually some researchers say 2-3 cups are fine but taking the average of 4-5 cups a day should get you on the right path to feeling better, naturally!

Those who just can’t get used to the taste of green tea or simply don’t want to drink that much can always take the green tea extract which provides all the benefits of the drink just in a pill form.

The great thing about incorporating green tea into your diet is its simplicity…you can take it with you anywhere and drink it just about any time.

It’s also great to know that you are really doing your body a favor by drinking green tea; that you are putting something into your body that is healthy and tastes great. Here are some of the benefits you can expect from drinking tea:

  • Helps to prevent cancer
  • Lowers “bad” cholesterol
  • Stops the unnatural formation of the blood clot
  • Reduces high blood pressure
  • Lowers blood sugar
  • Protects liver
  • Promotes oral health
  • Boosts your immune system function
  • Destroys free radicals
  • Stimulates metabolism/burns calories

Health Benefits of Green Tea

Preventing Cancer

One of the major health benefits reported from drinking green tea is how it may defend in preventing certain cancers. If you have been drinking green tea for a while you are at an advantage.

There is strong evidence supporting the contention that many types of cancer may be prevented with long term consumption of green tea. These cancers are bladder, colon, esophageal, pancreas, rectum, and stomach.

“…For a long time, green tea was preferred as a beverage because of its attractive flavor and taste. But the scientific community and the popular press have recently pondered that there might be beneficial properties of green tea. Consumption has been associated with anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, antimutagenic, and anticarcinogenic effects.”
(Benelli et al., 2002; Weisburger and Chung, 2002).

It is been concluded that lower rates of cancer in the Asian population are directly correlated with high levels of green tea consumption. These population studies done in the 1980s have led scientists to study the specific components of green tea to determine what exactly what components are responsible for preventing cancer in the human body.

How does green tea fight and reduce the risk of these cancers? The answer is high levels of EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate) that occur naturally in green tea. The ingredient EGCG is a potent antioxidant, about 200 times more powerful than vitamin E which neutralizes pro-oxidants and free radicals that attack lipids in the brain. EGCG also blocks the cancer-promoting effect of carcinogens in the body.

Only about 10% of the experiments involving green tea have involved humans, directly. Studying data from animals and test tubes, while not completely relevant regarding humans, does provide much insight for future study and simply cannot be ignored.

How much should you drink? Traditional Chinese homeopathic health practitioners say 10 cups a day is standard while other research indicates 2-3 cups a day is fine. If you want to guess take the average, 4-5 cups daily. Drinking this amount is easy and if you like it you may find yourself drinking 10 cups a day!

Protecting Your Heart

Good news! Green tea is great for your heart! The natural antioxidants in tea may have a strong effect on heart disease, controlling blood pressure and lowering cholesterol.

Reduced heart attack risk – In a 25-year study, evidence supports that consuming 8.5 oz of green tea daily reduces the risk of dying from or even having a first heart attack. Scientists also found that by consuming more antioxidants, like that found in tea, people were 3 times less likely to be at risk of dying from coronary heart disease.

This amazing benefit derived from drinking green tea or taking green tea extract is probably due to the fact that antioxidants decrease blood clotting which is common prior to heart attacks. Remember, green tea is rich in natural antioxidants.

Do you have high cholesterol? – Drinking green tea can be a natural defense in lowering this dangerous condition that plagues millions of people. One study in Japan found that heavy, regular green tea consumption decreased cholesterol 8 levels when compared with people who did not drink green tea.

More studies will be needed to establish concrete evidence of the coronary benefits, however, history has plenty of evidence to prove the implied heart health benefits.

Preventing Arthritis

Green tea is a natural anti-inflammatory and reduces the pain of arthritis, as studies have concluded. Certain antioxidants in green tea naturally postpone the onset or severity of certain types of arthritis. Adding tea to your diet could surely be an easy way to help you if you suffer from arthritis, plus you’ll get all the other benefits as well!

Protecting Your Liver

Scientists suggest green tea helps the liver in two ways – by protecting liver cells and by triggering the immune system. Green tea antioxidants have been shown to protect the liver against toxins like alcohol and chemicals in cigarette smoke. Although the scientific information about the effects of green tea on the liver is limited, the early results look promising and should be studied in greater detail in the future.

Protecting Your Teeth

Green tea experiments have shown promising results for your teeth as well. Asian health providers have longed talked about how drinking green tea can promote oral health. Scientific and medical literature now back up this ancient claim – information from both human and animal studies demonstrate how green tea works against bacteria that cause cavities in teeth. Also, green tea naturally contains fluoride, which protects teeth from cavities.

Considering how many health benefits one can derive from simply drinking this wonderfully natural and healthy beverage, it’s amazing how many people don’t take advantage of it. Consider adding it to your diet at meals or in between as a substitute for coffee. How many things can you think of in your daily routine that provide you a health benefit such as simply enjoying a cup of delicious green tea?

Green Tea Weight Loss

Recent studies documented in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition concludes that the consumption of green tea increases the metabolism which oxidizes fat and does so without raising the heart rate. This is good news for those concerned with consuming anything that may increase their heart rate and could cause cardiac distress.

To expand energy without increasing the heart rate may be extremely beneficial for those who can’t exercise or only can do so moderately. This is a much preferred method than consuming the typical over the counter diet aids laden with artificial stimulants.

Green Tea

The Chinese have known about the wonderful medicinal benefits of teas for over 4000 years. Since ancient times they have treated everything from depression to headaches using green tea.

“Better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one.”
(Ancient Chinese Proverb)

Today, scientific research in both Asia and the west is providing hard evidence for the health benefits long associated with drinking green tea.
